News: 2008 Companion Walk & Pet Expo

Get ready for the 20th Annual Companion Walk. A day of fun for you and your pet.
Our biggest, and most important fundraiser of the year!

Special Guests: Sven Sundgaard - KARE 11 Meteorologist, and Phoenix - retired mascot, will be joining us again this year!

WHEN:
Saturday, Sept. 13th, 10:00 a.m.
Registration 9:00 a.m.

WHERE:
Wilson Park, St. Cloud. Rain or shine!
2.5 or 5-mile walk

ACTIVITIES:
Food
Vendor Booths
Animal Exhibits & Demos
Pet Treat Bake Sale
Silent Auction
Face painting, hound dog hunt, speed trials - see how fast your dog can run, collar toss, bandanna art, dino-bounce & sumo wrestling.
Prizes for best trick, most ear-resistible ears, longest & shortest tail, longest & shortest legs, traveled farthest, most unusually marked, pet/owner look-a-like, etc.

Have your family & friends sponsor your participation by giving a pledge donation. Pick up a pledge form at the shelter, or create your own walk page at www.firstgiving.com/tchs to collect pledges.

Walkers with $300 or more in paid pledge will be entered the Grand Prize drawing to win a Minnesota Zepher Mini-Vacation.

Walkers with $150 or more in paid pledges will receive a certificate for a Home Again Microchip for your pet.

The top 40 or more money earners will win awesome prize packages including: Tour & Live Broadcast Viewing of KARE 11 News, Ballards Resort Fishing Extravaganza, Mille Lacs Chartered Fishing/Hunting Overnight Stay, Ziebart Detailing Package, Studio 505 Spa Package, Rich Springs Golf / Lakeview Resort Restaurant for four, $100 Coborn's Gift Cards. There will also be drawings for prizes and a silent auction! All awards and prizes are based on the money you have raised by the day of the Walk.

Participants will receive a free T-shirt for raising more than $75 in paid pledges. A free T-shirt and Sweatshirt for more than $200 in paid pledges.
